Matters arising from the Minutes

Road Resurfacing

Parishioners reported that although the road into the village had been resurfaced there were still some potholes which needed attention.

Village Drainage System

Parishioners were still concerned that the drainage system could cause problems if not maintained and cleaned properly due to the gullies being silted with winter and autumn leaves.

Noise Issues

It was noted that there had not been any complaints in respect of the Hovercraft site at Sharnford.

The Clerk confirmed that the Council was working with the site owner to explore ways of reducing noise.

Crash Barrier – Smockington Hollow

Mrs P Brench reported that an Officer from Leicestershire County Council Highways Department had visited the property but to date a crash barrier had not been installed. Parishioners were concerned that two more accidents had occurred along that stretch of the road.
