Election of Chairman

The Chairman elected at the Parish Council Meeting held on 16 May 2019 will take the Chair if in attendance.

The chairman elected at the Parish Council Meeting held on 16 May 2019, Stephen Ashford-Bown, was introduced as the Chair for the Lubbesthorpe Parish Council at the Annual Parish Meeting.

The minutes of the meeting held on 16 May 2019, as circulated, were approved as a correct record.

Any Other Business - Update on the Parish Council

UPDATE ON THE PARISH COUNCIL

 

The Chairman provided a verbal update on the Parish Council and recapped the minutes from the previous Parish Council meeting. Meetings to be held on the second Monday of every month at 6.30pm at the Hub.

 

PARISH ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Democratic Services and Governance Manager was asked to provide a summary at the next Parish Council meeting of the roles and responsibilities of the Parish Council.

 

SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL

 

The Vice-Chair started a discussion on sustainable travel, Go Travel and the need for electric charging points. Sue Steer informed all that Go Travel would be attending the Hub as part of Listening Week on Wednesday 26 June so residents could raise these points at the event directly with the company.

 

ARRIVA CLICK

 

A short discussion took place regarding the new ArrivaClick service and residents raised points in relation to the cost of the service for school children, a discounted rate for under 16 year olds and the pick up location. Sue Steer informed all that Arriva would be attending the Hub as part of Listening Week, so residents could voice any concerns at the event.

 

MISSING STREET SIGN

 

It was resolved that the Democratic Services and Governance Manager would investigate the matter and provide an update at the next Parish Council meeting.

 

OVERFLOW PARKING

 

A short discussion took place regarding the volume of cars parking on the roads and the suggestion to have overflow parking areas in the next phase of the development.

 

POSTBOX

 

An enquiry was made whether a post box could be made available for  residents to use.
